Through the Woods Wellness and Counseling

Adults & Children

I believe there is always hope that every person has the ability to change, grow, and create a more fulfilling life. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, helping clients recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and identify practical steps toward meaningful change.

My counseling approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy. CBT focuses on understanding how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another and learning strategies to develop healthier patterns. Reality Therapy emphasizes personal choice, responsibility, and identifying practical actions that can help individuals better meet their needs and move toward the life they want.

I bring a positive, collaborative approach to counseling. Rather than simply telling clients what to do, I believe in working together to discover solutions, build upon strengths, and create lasting growth. Helping others is one of my greatest joys, and I firmly believe that hope can be found even in life’s most difficult situations.

My Christian faith is the most important part of who I am and serves as a foundation for how I view hope, compassion, grace, and the potential for growth. I stand firmly in my faith while also recognizing that each client comes to counseling with their own unique beliefs, values, and experiences.

Outside of counseling, I have a great love for sports, exercise, and spending time with people. I value connection, personal growth, and the opportunity to encourage others in becoming the best version of themselves.
