Janel Reese, LCSW

Janel Reese, LLC

Adults & Veterans

My name is Janel Reese and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am from Wyoming and received my education through the University of Wyoming.  I lived outside of Wyoming for approximately 10 years in various places, and moved back to Cheyenne in 2011 to be closer to family.  I have had my license in clinical social work since 2015 and have worked extensively with veterans and active-duty service members through the Cheyenne VA and the Cheyenne Vet Center.  Prior to getting my Masters in Social Work, I worked for many years with adults and children with developmental disabilities.

I understand that finding a therapist can be stressful and scary, so I strive to create a safe and comfortable place for you to share your story.  We all have a story filled with strengths and weaknesses and joys and sorrows and I appreciate you considering sharing yours with me.  I aim to build a trusting relationship so that you can be yourself and be seen without judgment.  We are all in the adventure called life together and we all need support and assistance at times, so I commend your willingness to take the step towards therapy and growth.

“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again.  And in between the amazing and the awful its ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary.  That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life.  And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.”
