At Through the Woods Wellness Center we have a diverse group of providers and business owners under one roof, offering a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of all our clients. Our talented counselors are experienced with multiple types of therapeutic interventions and, along side our yoga instructors and wellness facilitators, will guide you to a happier, healthier life.
What we do
Our mind-body-spirit approach to mental health incorporates whole self-care, improving outcomes in therapy and increasing the overall health and well-being of our clients. We offer traditional talk therapy as well as evidenced based therapies to address specific needs such as trauma, anxiety, neurodiversity, and behavioral concerns. Our supplemental wellness services includes free meditation and yoga classes and medication support.
Services Offered
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is your opportunity to receive support while gaining new ways to experience growth during challenging times in life. Our experienced therapists will work with you to explore your feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, to better understand yourself and identify aspects of your life that you would like to change.
Child/Adolescent
Various age-appropriate techniques, such as play therapy, art therapy, & talk therapy are utilized to create a safe and supportive environment where young clients can express their thoughts and feelings, learn coping skills, and work towards improved emotional well-being.
Couples Counseling
Struggling to feel a connection or communicate with your significant other? Couples counseling may be a great option to bridging that gap! Couples can experience a more fulfilling relationship by addressing issues such as trust, intimacy, infidelity, and communication breakdowns.
EMDR/IFS
Sometimes the paths we have followed have been challenging and continue to weigh us down. We look forward to helping you unpack your hardships in a healthy and safe environment.
Yoga Classes
Explore the mind-body connection with our small class sizes, allowing you to begin and end with the same group of participants. If you are curious about what yoga might do for you this is a great place to start.
Meditation and Mindfulness
Monthly meditation classes are free to our community. We aim to provide a space to develop your personal meditative practice as well as an opportunity to meet like-minded people.
Providing you with a Safe Space
In-person appointments will take place in our soothing office environment with fully private rooms, complimentary coffee, tea, and water, all provided alongside personalized care.
Telehealth is also a great option for our clients who live in rural areas, have a hectic schedule or are more comfortable with video sessions in the comfort of their own home. In addition, the quality of online counseling has been found to be just as effective as face-to-face sessions with the added benefit of a safe, convenient way to receive care.
